Please be advised that Brad Schoonbert has taken over as interm President of the BSAABL. I will be stepping aside for awhile, dealing with work and personal issues. Brad can be contacted at 204-724-4848 (Cell). I plan to return as President when I can commit more time to the league. It is not fair for me to try and do only a partial job, when at this time someone is needed that can commit more effort.
Brad, Bryce and myself have been doing ground work to get the season up and running. I guess no news is good news at this time. We are currently negotiating with BU to play a partial schedule at Kinsmen until the end of June, then moving to Andrews Field after that. This would serve us best, as the High School season would be over, and Andrews would be more accessible. We hope to have this settled this week. When that is confirmed, a meeting will be held to finish off 2008 and look forward to 2009. Rest assured, we have been guaranteed by the City of Brandon that the new field will be completed beside Andrews Field by this fall, and will be ready for our league to kick off the 2010 season!
